I have been involved in birding and bird photography for over 20 years. I live in the bird-rich Kern County, California. This area is centrally located at the convergence of multiple bio-regions, giving me the opportunity to photograph many avian subjects. I also have traveled around the country and to Costa Rica, Australia, South America, and Southeast Asia to photograph.

My collection of images includes over 550 species of birds from North America and hundreds more from around the world, many location and habitat photos, and images of flowers, butterflies, and dragonfies. Up until October of 2003 I had been shooting exclusively with transarency film (Kodak E100SW and Fuji Provia). Then I made the switch to digital with the aquisition of a Canon 10D. Today I shoot with a couple of the top Canon digital bodies.
